The best way to connect the charger is to connect it while it is off, either terminal first, and then turn on the power. the C-Tek has a power/mode button built in so is simple. It will work in temparatures between -20 and 50deg C and has a bespoke low temp setting. I have used one for many years with excellent results.
Gave it one more try after I got an idea from the Ford owner's thread and tried full reboot (NOT factory reset-that didn't help) on Sync with the car running in Parkiphone 11 paired the first time. Phone works, Pandora works. Shut off car, started again 15 minutes later and phone linked up right away.
