The Mondeo Estate is not a cheap car when compared with a lot of its family car rivals, but it’s similar in price to its key competitor, the VW Passat Estate. It’s also a good bit cheaper than cars like the BMW 3 Series Touring and Mercedes C-Class Estate, which Ford sees as rivals.

After owning a Mazda 6, the Mondeo does not feel as good to drive or as well built; the handling on the Mazda was first class. However the Mazda was petrol and the Mondeo is diesel, so is obviously much better on fuel, but not as good as some of the other claims on here ie 34 round town. I must admit I do drive my cars hard though.

Good advice from the above, I will add look at many buy one, that way you will build up a knowledge of what a car should be like, I think I looked at 11 before I bought the one I have, my first Mondeo, it was a learning curve but cost nothing, where as buying the wrong car costs plenty.
